About Crystal, South Fork — 01. Schofield Pass to Crystal

The Devil's Punchbowls are a spectacular set of waterfalls in a drainage with more than it's fair share of spectacular whitewater and vistas. The Punchbowls can be accessed from below via the town of Crystal, or from Crested Butte via Schofield Pass. The Punchbowls are right beside this road (4X4 is required, and a vehicle your not fond of reccomended) and very obvious, a few other smaller drops are also runnable in this reach. Check out the excellent pics by Jered Johnson at Vagabond Images.
