Pancho offers a solid moderate traditional climbing experience in the Coaldale area, known for its diverse granite formations and scenic Arkansas River valley setting. This 5.8 route provides an excellent opportunity to practice gear placement skills on quality rock typical of the region. The grade makes it accessible to intermediate trad climbers while still offering engaging movement and natural protection opportunities.
Summer can be quite hot in the Arkansas River valley; early morning starts recommended. Winter conditions may bring ice and snow to higher elevation approaches.
