The trail gains 2,071 feet of elevation, making it a moderately strenuous hike suited for those with solid cardiovascular fitness. As an out-and-back route, hikers will travel to a destination point before returning along the same path, covering 14.0 miles total with cumulative elevation gain. The trail's significant elevation gain over its distance provides a sustained climbing challenge throughout the hike.
